Paying for your appointment

Paying to see a specialist privately means you can address your health concerns straight away, without long NHS waiting lists.

Self-funding

If you are paying for yourself, you are dealing directly with a consultant cardiologist and avoiding the bureaucracy of a large hospital. Fees are agreed with you in advance — see the fees page — and any further costs are discussed with you before they are incurred.

Private medical insurance

I am a fee-assured consultant cardiologist, recognised by the main health insurers. Consultations, tests and treatment are usually covered, but it is important to check what your individual policy includes. Many insurers ask you to obtain an authorisation number before your appointment.

Prefer to continue on the NHS?

Seeing me privately does not commit you to private treatment. You can move back to NHS care at any time and, where I can, I will make the referral onto the relevant waiting list for you.

Worried about your heart? Let’s talk.

Send a few details and my practice team will get back to you to arrange a convenient appointment. No GP referral needed.
